Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans sometimes change. We ask for a cancellation notice 7 days prior to arrival for no cancellation fees.
Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival will incur a charge equal to one night’s stay per room booked.
If we are able to rebook your reserved room(s) during that time, the cancellation charge will not be applied.
Special Events & Holiday reservations require additional notice.
Special events and holidays include: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, University of Oregon graduation, football, basketball, and track & field events hosted at the University of Oregon.
Cancellations made by 5pm 15+ days before day of arrival will not incur cancellation fees.
Cancellations made thereafter will incur a cancellation fee equal to one night’s stay per room booked.
If we are able to rebook your reserved room(s) during that time, the cancellation charge will not be applied.
Prices and Taxes
Our rates are double occupancy and are guaranteed until time of reservation.
All rates are exclusive of local and state room tax and, when applicable, pet fee.
We reserve the right to change rates, room arrangements, and amenities without notice.
Payment Terms
In the interest of security and fraud prevention, a valid credit card and government-issued ID is required at time of reservation.
No deposit is required.
Payment is required prior to check-out. Payment can be made in cash or by the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover.
Check in and check out
Unless otherwise arranged with the hosts, check-in is any time after 4pm on the day of arrival and check-out is before 12pm on day of departure.
Check-in: 4pm
Check-out: 12pm
Traveling with Children and Pets
Children are welcome.
Pets are welcome on the Tom Wing (McKenzie, Pisgah, and Doris rooms). An additional fee of $25 per night will be applied to the reservation bill.
Smoking and Outdoor Fires
In the interest of protecting our forests, The Mount Tom House and Property is a smoke-free location. Additionally, outdoor fires will be managed solely by the Mount Tom House owners.
Damages
The Mount Tom House and Property should be used by her guests in a sensible manner, and in line with the instruction of the owners.
The head guest (the person who makes the booking) is responsible by law for any damage that is caused to the Mount Tom House and Property or any other guests.
Any damages should be reported to the owners of the Mount Tom House immediately. Costs for reparation or replacement should be paid by the responsible guest on request of the owners.
If the keys of the room are not returned to the owners, any costs that need to be made as a result of this shall be charged to the responsible guests.
We reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit card for any damage incurred to your room, the Mount Tom House, or Property during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave.
Accessibility
Our guest bedrooms are on the second floor. If walking up stairs is difficult, we recommend booking elsewhere for a comfortable stay.
Force Majeure
The Mount Tom House accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
Guest Behavior
This is our home as well as our business. Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and to comply with house rules or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property, its employees and guests and their health and safety. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from our home if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case, we shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.
Waiver
The Mount Tom House offers guests use of the lap pool and hot tub. By agreeing to the Terms & Conditions, I acknowledge that a lifeguard will not be in attendance and I certify to swim at my own risk. I further certify that I am in good health and have no physical or other impediment which would endanger me while participating in this activity. I will not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, which would impair my ability. I acknowledge and agree this activity has inherent risks. I have full knowledge of the nature and extent of all the risks associated with this activity.
In consideration of my participation in this activity, I agree (on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns) to release, discharge, waive and relinquish the Mount Tom House, Mount Tom Run Club (or its owners, contractors, and employees) from any and all liabilities, claims, or actions for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death which may arise out of my participation.
